Slip "Sliding" Away
Updated: Friday Jul 2, 2010 @ 7:27 PM

It's here!!!! It's red..it's blue...it's yellow...it's COOL!!!  The Twin Chimney's subdivision pool has a brand new addition-a tubular slide!!!!  There are two tubes to choose from.  Our yellow tube drops you off in the shallow water.  You need to be at least 40 inches tall to ride the yellow tube down.  Our blue  tube drops you in the deeper end of the pool, and is designed for swimmers that are at least 48 inches tall.  The weight limit to ride either tube is not to exceed 300 lbs.  Swimmers will need to see the lifeguards in order to get a colored wrist bracelet so that the guards know which slide that your swimmer can safely navigate.

The lifeguards have all been thoroughly trained so that they know the correct way to "guard" the slide.  Parents, please remind your children to obey our lifeguards.  Safety is always uppermost in our minds here and if you have a question concerning a rule please speak to the pool manager or come up to the office-we can help you!  We are very excited with this new addition and from the excited screams of fun and excitement (and sometimes a little terror) we think everyone shares our excitement!

Thunder and Lightening and Rain
Updated: Sunday Jun 13, 2010 @ 5:41 PM

You get your suit on, you pack up the kids and the floaties, you get a chair, you lay down and then.......THUNDER!!!!......AAAUGH.....AAAUGH.....believe us when we say we feel your pain. BUT.....we must always think safety first.  It is pool policy to clear the pool when there is thunder and/or lightening.  You will be allowed to return to the pool 30 minutes after the last thunder/lightening episode. The pool does remain open in the event of rain.  If the rain is falling to hard for the lifeguards to see the bottom of the pool, then they will ask you to exit the pool until the rain has subsided. Please remember that the lifeguards are doing the job that they are being paid to do when they ask you to exit the pool.  Remember, as adults it is our job to set an example for all of the children to follow.  If we do not respect the lifeguards then our children will not either.  So please, next time you hear rolling thunder or see lightening, gather your belongings and seek shelter as requested....it's the right thing to do.
